Cherubs is a preschool with state of art infrastructure specially designed and built keeping in mind the requirements of tiny tots by the best and most experienced minds in the feild of education.
We have created an environment which is full of love, affection, understanding, care & learning. We groom your child to face this competitive world and environment and give them a great foundation in their most formative years. Our first level starts with TODDLERS-At this age we introduce the children to activities which help them express themselves through sound, imagination, and through experimenting with color, texture and shape. We also help children to understand their emotions and develop their relationships with other children through empathy and concern. In our Toddler rooms you can find a fully balanced day with tons of imaginative activates and play. The children are in a caring atmosphere, with a reassuring routine, and stimulating activities. They learn through a balance of play, teacher-facilitated activities, and repetition. It is the optimum environment for learning at this level of development.
The second level is KINDER I Our Kinder I class incorporates the four important developmental areas: Social, Emotional, Cognitive and Physical. We've added one more to ours; Character Development. We provide many opportunities for them to practice their language skills. Included in our program are experiences in language arts, dramatic play, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, creative arts, science, math, music, and movement. They are eager to learn. They learn by experiencing and by doing and we offer lot of opportunities for their development and prepare them for Formal Schooling.
Teaching Methods
At Cherubs The Preschool we believe children learn and develop at their own rate and the rate will be different between the children. With this in mind we like to encourage the children to take time at activities and participate in the main planned activity.
We take pride in the preschool being small as it allows more one to one support for the children to help develop their learning.
Learning Through Play
We encourage the children to play with the toys they have chosen for a length of time which they decide, our ethos is if they have chosen to play with it they already have a plan of what they would like to do with it. This tells us that they will learn a range of things in their own way.
The preschool staff are there to facilitate the children's play by providing them with the resources and allowing them to use them with supervision. We try not to direct the play as this interrupts the child's learning process. We get involved in play if your child includes us, or if we believe a child needs some support.
We do provide some structured activities of which we mention to the children we would like them to take part in at the beginning of the session, it is then up to them when they wish to take part in the activity.
